TEXAS HERITAGE FOODS HISTORY/BACKGROUND

Our recipes go back at least 5 generations that we know of. Our spice blends span 4 generations worth of refinement. We also use recipes that stood the test of time. Heritage recipes that have been in our family for over 100 years.

To this day the candy we make is unique to Texas and more specifically to our family. Our specialty is savory pepper blends for seasoning any food. And don't forget our unique chili powder. This is our heritage we want to share with everyone.

My great-grandmother handed down several candy recipes to her daughter-in-law, my mothers' mother, that we serve up each Christmas. My great grandmother made and sold candies from early 1900's through The Great Depression as a means to help the family.

Judith (Barnhill) Stufflebeam, Sherri (Spires) Dudick, and Grandmother Spires. This is the Grand-matriarch that we reference to in our heritage background story that created and sold the candy in the early 1900's.
